Let’s build an enterprise DNS service and only charge for DNS services!
Our company president and founder began over 10 years ago with this idea which is still our main business philosophy today.
Build an enterprise DNS service
Remove 99% of the sales overhead. No commissions, no sales parties, no sales dinners, no t-shirts, no trade shows, no conferences, no kick-backs.
For a technical based company that is working for their clients there is no reason to hire anyone that is 100% sales. Obviously someone needs to answer questions, but they also need to support the products as well. All staff must focus on customer support and not sales. We should be driven by technical challenges, not sales quotas.
Do everything ourselves from top to bottom in networking. To keep our costs as low as possible we need to be in control of our contracts with data centers, we need to be in charge of what data providers we use, we need to be in charge of what hardware our packets run across, and we need to be in charge of all aspects of serving DNS. It is only with this control can we fully be in control of costs and understand what we need to charge for our services based on user demand.
Instead of marketing, just focus on service excellence. Non-stop drive to providing a truly enterprise network that we not only put our name on; but use ourselves and would refer our family and friends to use.
Obtain strong partnerships with the companies that you rely on.
Take over 95% of our revenue and invest in DNS name servers, routers, switches, collocation, power, and DDOS mitigation.
Keep our staff to a minimum and only hire the brightest and hardest working talent.
Never ending goal of achieving maximum ROI for our clients.
This is DNS Made Easy.
How can you be a fraction of your competitors pricing?
We have a strong relationship with our bandwidth and facility partners. The root of our network is located at Equinix, CRG West, TelX, and Terremark facilities. This gives us the ability to get the best quality bandwidth at the lowest possible pricing (remove the local loops and get closer to the heart of the Internet). This also puts our systems on the Internet’s backbone world-wide.
We monitor our services 24/7/365 from multiple network nodes around the world to verify they are not only reachable, but they are also fully functional. By keeping our services online and performing properly our goal is to keep our support costs lower as well. This constant monitoring helps budget support costs by finding and preventing potential issues before they ever begin.
We understand that small businesses like to grow with a company. We market our products with huge quotas so companies have room for growth. We have a very large client retention rate which saves on marketing costs.
For most of our users we keep Phone Support optional. 99% of our users understand DNS and know how DNS and email services work together and do not need to pay for the higher support options. Our clients tend to have years of experience but just need high quality secure services to use. Due to this, most of our clients do not need expensive 24/7 phone support built into their yearly fees. This service can be purchased optionally however and is still a fraction of any competitors price.
We buy all of our services in bulk (servers, bandwidth, collocation, etc.) so we can pass the savings to you.
Organizations experience significant ROI using DNS Made Easy
The costs of maintaining servers can vary based upon server requirements. Based upon the specifications required for a normal DNS server, the cost of running two fault tolerant name servers on a somewhat reliable network costs a minimum of $9,000 a year. This does not take into consideration the cost of administration, training, hardware and software, plus any needed repairs or replacements during this time period. Taking all these necessary fees into account, many of the users surveyed estimated the cost of running their own DNS infrastructure starting at $40,000 per year.
In contrast, the DNS Made Easy Enterprise IP Anycast managed DNS service hosts client domains on hundreds of name servers on their IP Anycast nodes located globally. Each one of these IP Anycast nodes provides the DNS Made Easy server fault-tolerant, multiple peer networks. This configuration gives a much faster response time and higher redundancy compared to the in-house DNS configurations that most companies can provide with few servers. The actual cost to recreate an IP Anycast network such as the one supporting DNS Made Easy would not be financially feasible for most organizations or even large corporations.
