Adding records in DNS Made Easy

Having your domain completely configured in the DNS Made Easy system takes only seconds. In fact DNS Made Easy has made the task of administering enterprise DNS servers so simple that most novices can not believe that it takes less than a minute to add the domain in to the DNS Made Easy system.

A DNS Record define which host (system) will point to which IP. 'www' would be a record of the 'example.com.' domain. This FQDN (fully qualified domain name) is 'www.example.com.'.

This tutorial will walk you through how to add a record in the DNS Made Easy system.

Step 1
You will first need a domain. If you no not have a domain already then we recommend that you use our partner Domains Made Easy or that you use our DNS Made Easy domains.

Step 2
Log in or Create your account in the DNS Made Easy system.

Step 3
Make sure that you already have a domain added (you can use wizards) into the DNS Made Easy system.

Step 4
Click on Managed DNS on the Main Menu.

Step 5
You will now be shown the listing of all of your domains that are managed in the DNS Made Easy system. These are the domains that DNS Made Easy acts as the primary name server for. You will want to click on Records for the domain that you want to add the record for.

Step 6
You will now be shown the record listing page. This will show all of the records for your domain. To add a new record you will want to click on the specified action on top of the screen.
