Lock your domain(s) to a Record Set Template

Locking (making persistant) your domains to a Record Set Template is the easiest wat to have all of your domains change at once. If you have many of your domains using the exact same configuration you can create a Record Set Template to have all of your domains locked to. This way if you ever change your Template all of your domains will also change when you click "Reload" that is found in your Record Set Template listing.

Note: You can also use a Record Set Template to pre-load your domain with records when they are first created (not lock to the template). But this way you will always have to make changes to each domain if a change needs to be made.

Here are the simple steps that you will need to lock a domain to an existing Record Set Template.

This can be done two different ways.

  1. Click on Managed DNS from the Main Menu.

  2. Check the check box to the left of all domains that you want to lock to the template.

  3. Click on "Domain Settings".
  4. Choose the correct options to lock the domain to the template of your choosing.

OR

  1. Click on Managed DNS from the Main Menu.

  2. Click on the Domain name that you want to lock to the template.

  3. Choose the appropriate template and make sure you check the box to lock the domain.
