Testing / Verifying your DNS Made Easy services Everyone at DNS Made Easy works very hard to offer the highest uptime in the industry. We monitor each of our services throughout the day from multiple networks around the world. Unlike our competitors, we do not only verify that our services are reachable (machine is pingable). But we also test to make sure they are also functioning as designed. By verifying our services throughout the day from multiple networks we not only detect potential problems before our users can notice them, but we also are able to budget our support costs by not having large spikes in support tickets. So not only are we improving the reliability of networks, but we are also lowering our costs and passing these savings to you ! DNS Made Easy handles DNS and mail for hundreds of thousands of domains everyday at the lowest possible pricing while offering the highest quality of service. But one thing that is not built into our pricing is the individual per user verification that our services work on a per user / domain basis. This means that we can not spend the resources to teach users how to verify if systems are working nor can we manually spend the time to verify each domain. We test our services all of the time. If you require individual testing then you will need do this yourself. If you are sure that you want us to test everything about your domain then this can be done at the rate of $90 per hour (one hour minimum). This is why we have created pages to help show you how to test and verify that your DNS Made Easy services are functioning as promised. It is crucial that you read these pages if feel that it is necessary to test / verify your DNS Made Easy services. If you feel that there is a problem please open a support ticket. However if we find that the services are functioning as designed and we are spending an excessive amount of time troubleshooting your testing then we will have to charge your account* for support that is above and beyond our normal pricing. It usually takes about 30 minutes of support to help a new user learn how to test services. DNS Made Easy receives thousands of new users every month and we require this constant growing userbase to be able to offer our services at such bulk discount rates. But if every new user required help in verifying the DNS Made Easy services we would have to raise our prices dramatically. Spending the 30 minutes per user just to verify our services are working as designed is also not fare to the rest of our users. The higher support costs attributed to this support prevents us from offering our current users additional and new high quality services. So we strongly urge everyone that wants to test their DNS Made Easy services to read all of the instructions on these pages. * We do not mind support tickets, but our basic support does not cover free lessons on how to verify that internet technologies work. This means that we can not teach users how to use telnet or configure their servers to test our services. If you require this support please contact our sales department.
