Dear Widge.Net customers,

I want to take this time to let you know that everyone here at DNS Made Easy understands the sense of urgency that many of you are feeling. We understand how crucial DNS and email services are to companies. We also understand the trust that is involved (and earned) from hosting / service companies such as a DNS / email provider. That is why I have personally called extra staff to be on hand (starting May 2, 2004) to make sure we have more than enough people to handle the flood of new support questions that we are having from Widge.Net users.

DNS Made Easy has had a 100% uptime history and I am sure that we can make this transition as smooth as possible.

In fact you can just use our services free for the first 30 days just to get through these times of turmoil. We want to be able to help wherever we can. We have spoken to the Widge staff and they are working around the clock trying to get over this problem.

We understand how urgent your DNS is to your business and we want to make the transition as smooth as possible. That is why we have created some quick steps to get your domains up as soon as possible.

Step 1) Create a free account in DNS Made Easy. You can use our DNS (Basic Membership) for free for the first 30 days. You can choose to extend your membership for another 12 months at anytime (so your first purchase you will actually get about 13 months of service if you upgrade right away).

Step 2) Click on Managed DNS from the Main Menu.

Step 3) Choose either "Add New Domain" or "Add New Domain Wizard". The wizard will give you step by step instructions to get the most basic configurations done fast.

Please let any of our support staff know if you have any questions or problems along the way.

Here are some of the most common questions:

What happened to DNS.Widge.Net?
We have been informed from Widge.Net that they are going through a major DDOS attack. It is a 1.2 Gbps attack on their networks which has basically shut down their network. We of course do not wish this on anyone as we know how hard it is to keep networks up 100% of the time.

The Widge.Net owners and employees are quality individuals who are just suffering from an unfortunate circumstance.

Can I import my records into DNS Made Easy?
Unfortunately since the Widge.Net name servers are not responding we can not import those records. But you can use one of our wizards to guide you along the way.

Does DNS Made Easy have everything that Widge.Net did?
DNS Made Easy has all of the services that Widge.Net did (with exception to web hosting). We do not have hosting services other than our Revenue Park Service. But we do have a larger selection of email and DNS services to choose from.

I had a <name>.dns.widge.net free domain from Widge.Net, do you offer those also?
Since we do not crontrol the widge.net name space this is not possible. We do have a large selection of domains that you can choose from for free also using our DNS Made Easy Domains.
