NOTE: This option is only intended for experienced users
of DNS. This option requires that you already have a name server
and you are looking for DNS redundancy.
Even if you already have your own name server it is always better
to have additional servers for robustness. You will probably want
to set up more than the required two name servers for you domains.
DNS Made Easy has a solution to offer you a highly flexible slave
name server.
Why is DNS Made Easy your best choice for a secondary name server
option?
DNS Made Easy allows you to create a secondary name server in
seconds.
You can configure your secondary server to use TSIG (transaction
signatures). TSIG uses shared secrets and a one-way hash function
to authenticate DNS messages. This make your DNS transfers very
secure! You provide the hash and we will tell you what to name
the key.
You can easily assign the IP of the master name server.
What extra steps would I need to take when using TSIG with my
Secondary DNS?
One problem with TSIG is that it requires time synchronization. The timestamp
in the TSIG record is useful for preventing replay attacks, but it may cause problems
if the clocks on the name servers are not synchronized. To solve this problem
DNS Made Easy servers all use NTP.

What does it take to have DNS Made Easy be your Secondary DNS?
Tell the Registrar with which you registered (or which you will register) that
your domain will be using DNS Made Easy's secondary nameserver(s). You will
have to provide some (or all) of the following information:
Nameservers:
ns5.dnsmadeeasy.com - 63.219.151.12
ns6.dnsmadeeasy.com - 64.246.42.203
ns7.dnsmadeeasy.com - 205.234.170.139
If you limit your nameservers to only allow transfers to certain IPs then
the nameservers that you will want to allow transfers from are:
